Susan Budrakey is a Chartered Financial Planner (ChFC) and a Chartered
Life Underwriter (CLU). These marks identify those individuals who
have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements and have
successfully passed the ChFC and CLU examinations covering the following
areas: financial planning, investments, tax planning and management,
retirement and employee benefits, estate planning, and various life,
health, and disability insurance matters. Holders of these certificates
must also agree to uphold the code of ethics and professional responsibility
mandated by their organization.
Susan graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Psychology and, some years later, with a Master’s
degree, with honors, in Business Administration.
Susan has been active in the Financial Planning Industry—including
Investments and Insurance—since 1984. She has taught Financial
Planning courses as an adjunct instructor at Onondaga County Community
College and at Cazenovia College. She is a frequent public speaker
at community events and is available to speak on a wide range of
topics.
Susan is married to James Budrakey, a retired instructor from Syracuse
University. She has a married son and two granddaughters, a grown
daughter, and three grown step-sons.
Susan serves as the Principal for a Branch Office of Cadaret Grant.
The Branch Office is located in DeWitt, New York and Cadaret Grant
is headquartered in Syracuse, New York.
With a lifetime of interest and experience in financial and economic
matters, and over twenty years professional experience in the field,
Susan particularly enjoys making complex topics understandable to
less financially sophisticated clients. She finds that women in
particular enjoy her approach to making these topics understandable
and comfortable.
